Our Approach and Methodology

We believe that through the enforcement of coordinated movement patterns, improvement of flexibility, and education of movement we will drastically improve your quality of life. This is manifested in Crossfit, Sweat, and Personal Training through the our three levels of physical activity:

Mechanics: An athlete must move safely with proper bio-mechanics before bearing any light load.
Consistency: The athlete must consistently perform the required movement with proper mechanics while bearing load.
Intensity: The athlete’s expression of their full work capacity with proper mechanics and consistency.

We begin all of our athlete's journeys with a No Sweat Intro Appointment. At this time we sit down and get to know your intentions, values and goals.

Once we have that established, we find a plan that is right for you.



Sean Finnegan
About Sean

As the owner and head coach of Symmetry, Sean’s mission is to help the local community live a more functional and pain free life.

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Sean found a passion in movement, health, and fitness after finishing collegiate athletics. Starting CrossFit in the fall of 2015, he quickly fell in love with the methodology and received the CrossFit Level 1 certification in August of 2016 to begin coaching. Since then, he has received the CrossFit Level 2 certification, Gymnastics certification, and is currently working towards the CrossFit Level 3 certification.

Sean is a “Student of the Game”, as he is always looking for avenues to strengthen his knowledge and perspective to challenge his current viewpoints.

Chris Burke
About Chris

Chris is the co-head coach and programmer for the gym along with Sean. He has been training and coaching CrossFit since 2009. His favorite part of coaching at CrossFit Symmetry is getting to know each of the athletes in the gym and learning how he can help them reach their goals.

Barry Hughes
About Barry

Barry has an extensive background in the field of strength and conditioning. His experience in the field includes coaching, personal training, athletic camp organization, supervision of athletic programs/ coaches and competing in various athletic competitions. Barry’s CrossFit journey began as a quest to further enhance his fitness. The movements, constantly varied programming and community provided the challenge and atmosphere he was looking for. His favorite part of coaching at symmetry is watching people having fun with their fitness and helping them to achieve goals that have such a positive impact on them both in and out of the gym.

Amanda Feola
About Amanda

As a full-time Personal Trainer/CrossFit Coach/Nutrition Coach, I have always loved what I do and am passionate about helping others, but eventually became “burned out” myself from my monotonous routine hugely lacking variety, largely emphasizing comfort, and the fact that I stopped seeing any real change or results. I walked into my first CrossFit box almost 6 years ago and have never looked back. I was humbled, defeated and hooked in my first session. This continues to be a huge part of my life. I look forward to working out again while continuing to be challenged. Most importantly I am part of a community that has now become family. This experience has changed my entire approach to working out and the approach I use to train my own clients. Coaching is a rewarding position that has allowed me to work with such a diverse group of individuals daily and help them to become the best version of themselves both physically and mentally.

Josh Deeter
About Josh

After getting bored with the normal lifting, running, elliptical scene Josh started looking for something fresh and fun. In 2014 Josh found Crossfit and the Symmetry family. With his sports background through high school and college, Josh naturally felt at home with the competitiveness and community that Crossfit provides. In the summer of 2015 Josh decided to get and received his Level 1 Certification. As a small business owner outside the gym and leader in his community and church, at Crossfit Symmetry Josh is able to live out his passions for fitness and health as well as help lead the CFS community to be the best they can be in heart, soul, strength and mind.

Jesse Bradford
About Jesse

Jesse is a Level 1 Certified CrossFit coach. Jesse coaches a many of our classes through the week. Athletes enjoy Jesse’s sense of humor, encouragement, and his constant search for the perfect playlist. Jesse is a successful CrossFit athlete himself and he really enjoys helping others in their journey.
